McKenzie is a remarkable young lady, now 22 years old, facing the challenges of a mitochondrial disease with unwavering strength and grace. Despite the intimidating odds she’s confronted, she continues to defy expectations and inspire those around her with her resilience and beauty.
Despite doctors’ predictions that she wouldn’t live past five years old, McKenzie has surpassed all expectations by not only defying the odds but also achieving remarkable progress. Her journey peaked in her graduation from No Limits Academy with exceptional accomplishments on May24, 2024. McKenzie persists in thriving, triumphing over every obstacle that crosses her path. Her resilience is a testament to her unwavering determination and strength. That being said, her journey doesn’t end there. She still relies on therapy to support her continued growth and flourishing. As McKenzie grows older, her needs, as well as those of her family’s support system, become increasingly significant. We‘re embarking on a fundraising journey to secure funds for a handicapped-accessible van.
